On the last 10 March ‘Inspire Inclusion -2024″ was held by Textile Tech Association at Banani Club. This Organisation was inaugurated in 2022 and is working for the mid-level women in the textile sector.

The main theme of the event was “Role of Mentorship for Women in the RMG sector”. A Panel Discussion was held by some of the guests.
There were Guests presented from RMG and other corporate sectors to motivate the upcoming generation. There was Bibi Russell, Fashion for Development, Bibi Productions; Vidiya Amrit Khan, Director, Desh Group of Companies; Professor Soniya Begum, Principal GCAHS;
Kyaw Sein Thay Dolly, Managing Director, Cloths “R” Us Ltd and newly elected Director of BGBA.

A special speech from Vidya Amrit Khan was extremely impactful for corporate women and female students. She has especially encouraged women to maintain their ethics in their personal and professional lives.

Award-giving ceremony to the Guests & Support Systems of the Women in RMG was the main attraction of the Programme. There was also a Cultural Segment by the students and singer Pehnaz Upama. Media partners were Textile Focus, Somoynews, and Jayjaydin. The event Partner was Angelica Event Solution, Gift partners were Shadow the Lifestyle Project by Farhana Zerin & Dhaka Regency.
The association — started the journey with the slogan ‘Analyzing the opportunities & barriers for the female employee’ on 15 January 2022 — aims to be the voice of mid-level working women in the RMG sector.
The event highlighted the success stories, especially of women working in the RMG sectors analyzing the barriers that female employee faces in their workplace. With the theme, Inspire Inclusion, TTA emphasized the importance of diversity and women’s empowerment in all aspects of society, especially in the RMG sector.
Sabrinna Sharmeen, Founder, Textile Tech Association said, The textile sector has become a male-dominated industry. Head hunters even recruit non-tech professionals from other backgrounds whereas, thousands of textile graduates are coming out every year, especially women. There are so many women, who want to make their career in the RMG sector.
So, women need that support to build them as a leader not only for the RMG sector but also for all the sectors globally.
