Representatives from UCC and HUAWEI paid a courtesy call on BKMEA President Mohammad Hatem at the association’s Dhaka office today (9 February, 2026). During the meeting, the discussion focused on green energy solutions, particularly the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and its potential benefits for the knitwear sector.
The delegation highlighted how the system could support energy efficiency, cost optimization and environmental sustainability in the RMG industry.
BKMEA President Mohammad Hatem expressed keen interest in the renewable energy system and requested further details regarding its operational process and cost implications.
He noted that, if the system proves beneficial for both the industry and the environment, it could create a positive footprint in Bangladesh’s RMG sector.
