As a part of the concatenated activities towards Sustainability, TEAM group has published Sustainability Report for the first time following GRI Standard It is a testament to TEAM Group’s commitment and dedication towards Sustainability. The aim is to be better equipped to measure, understand, and assess their operational footprint with insightful narrative of a company’s impact across economic, environmental, and social realms. The milestone also underscores a commitment of implementing impactful Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives, aligning with sustainable and responsible business practices as well as Sustainable Developments Goals.
The program began at 6:30 PM and ended with the unveiling of the Sustainability Report around 9:00 PM. This occasion marks the achievement of a significant milestone, symbolizing the envisagement of TEAM Group’s continuous effort towards sustainability in a comprehensive manner.
The Deputy Managing Director of TEAM Group, Abdullah Hit Nakib expressed his heartfelt gratitude for participation of the stakeholders in the event and making it a successful one. The motivation and the integration of Sustainability within TEAM group along with the salient features of the report were presented by Mohammad Monower Hossain Head of sustainability, TEAM Group. Mentioning the remarkable strides of Bangladesh in Sustainable fashion, the Chief guest of the event, Mr. Farosque Hassan, President, BGMEA congratulated TEAM Group to integrate this milestone within their journey towards Sustainability. He mentioned, “TEAM group has consistently demonstrated a pioneering spirit, embracing sustainability as a core value in their operations. Their commitment to environmental stewardship is evident in the implementation of eco-friendly practices across their supply chain” He reflected on the collective responsibility we all bear towards our planet and future generations. The Managing Director of TEAM Group, Mr. Abdullah Hil Rakit said, “Out sustainability initiatives exemplify our unwavering commitment to creating a groener, more inclusive, and socially responsible world. I hope this Sustainability report will be inspiring for many knowing that cach step counts in preserving our planet for generations to come”.
The Unveiling Event Celebration at Six Seasons hotel was celebrated in the presence of TEAMGroup’s Board of Directors, High officials along with stakeholders i.e. brands, financial nstitutions, development partners and media colleagues. Notable figures, including Mr. Edwin KOEKKOEK, First Counsellor, Team Leader Green Inclusive Development and Social Protection, Delegation of the European Union to Bangladesh, Mujibul Cezanne Hasan, Country Manager, Swisscontact, Selim Reza Hasan, Country Manager, Solidaridad Network Asia, Mr. Faruque Hassan, President, BGMEA, Abdullah Hil Nakib, DM and Abdullah Hil Rakib, MD -TEAM Group, were also present. Representatives from renowned fashion brands like Inditex, G-star, Bestseller, Next sourcing, Marks & Spencer, ZXY, Li & Fung, Auchan were present. Along with officials from financial institutions i.e. Mutual Trust Bank HSBC, City Bank, Brac Bank, representatives from ILO and Development partners like GIZ, Water Aid, UNICEF, BUILD, Reverse Resources were also present in the celebration.
