According to the Urmi group officials, We are thrilled to announce a new partnership between URMI Group and Begum Amina Mansoor Textile Engineering Institute (BAMTEI)! This MoU is set to foster innovative learning and sustainable practices within the textile and garment industries.

The collaboration encompasses the following:

The establishment of a state-of-the-art Resource Center at BAMTEI, generously supported by URMI Group, provides invaluable industry materials and hands-on learning opportunities.

Annual donations of waste or discarded materials by URMI Group to promote circularity, aligning with their CSR initiatives.

Comprehensive career advisory services, industry insights, and participation in career fairs to guide and inspire BAMTEI students.

Internship programs and job opportunities to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world industry experience.

Organized industry visits to URMI Group facilities, offering students firsthand exposure to advanced textile and garment manufacturing processes.

Training and institutional visits facilitated by BAMTEI to enhance URMI Group employees’ knowledge in production excellence, lean manufacturing, and more.

We have marked a significant milestone with a signing ceremony that underscored Urmi Group’s commitment to elevating sustainable practices and contributing to a responsible future. Ms. Shamarukh Fakhruddin (Director-Urmi Group), Mr. Nasir Uddin Rony (Principal-BAMTEI) Signed the MOU. Mr. Bikash Chandra Sarkar (GIZ), Mr. Biplob Barua- (GM, Strategic HR), ABM Faqrul Alam-(Sustainability-Lead), Mr. Saidur Rahman (ICON Institute) were present along other important stakeholders in the signing ceremony.
