In a landmark move to accelerate sustainability in the textile sector, Urmi Group has renewed its strategic partnership with Reverse Resources (RR)—a global pioneer in digital solutions for textile waste traceability and circularity.

The renewal was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony held at Urmi Group’s corporate headquarters at SAM Tower, Gulshan 1, Dhaka.
The MoU was signed by Faiaz Rahman, Director of Urmi Group, and Marius Golden, Chief Operating Officer of Reverse Resources. The event was also attended by ABM Faqrul Alam, Sustainability Lead at Urmi Group; Mumit Hasan, Director of Business & Operations, Bangladesh; and Ahmed Ali, Business & Operations Manager, Bangladesh from Reverse Resources.
Originally launched in 2020, this collaboration aims to foster circular textile supply chains by enabling efficient segregation, digital tracking, and recycling of textile cutting waste. Powered by RR’s advanced digital platform, Urmi Group has implemented a transparent and data-driven waste management system across its manufacturing units.
From an initial recycling volume of 64 tonnes in 2023, Urmi Group significantly scaled up its efforts in 2024, recycling an impressive 321 tonnes of fabric waste—marking a pivotal milestone in its sustainability journey.
According to the company statement ,
By strategically managing cutting waste and establishing direct pathways to global recyclers, this renewed collaboration will fuel further innovation in textile recycling. Together, we are focusing on implementing effective waste segregation practices, leveraging digital record-keeping for seamless tracking, and ensuring enhanced traceability throughout the supply chain.
This dedication is further underscored by the Textile Waste Management Certificates awarded to Fakhruddin Textile Mills Ltd, Urmi Garments Ltd, and Attires Manufacturing Co Ltd.
Urmi Group’s mission is steadfast: to minimize waste, maximize value, and make circularity the norm.
