Bangladesh-based one of the largest RMG exporters Urmi Group wins the Digital Bangladesh Award 2022. Asif Ashraf, Managing Director of Urmi Group and Director, BGMEA received the prestigious award from Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina MP. ICT Minister, Zunayed Ahmed Palak, MP was also present.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that her government is working to transform the country into “Smart Bangladesh” from a digital one by 2041. Theme song of the Digital Bangladesh Dibos-2022, marking 14 years of building a digital Bangladesh, was also screened alongside broadcasting an audio-visual documentary on Digital Bangladesh.
Asif Ashraf Managing Director of Urmi Group said, “I’m honored to be awarded the Digital Bangladesh Award 2022 in the category ‘Private Sector – Technical Best Team’ for the implementation of RFID and IOT amongst all industries.” It is the achievement of our team for their exemplary leadership in innovation and technology and I am immensely proud of them, he added.
