As per OTEXA, in January–November 2025, the US recorded a decline in apparel imports, totalling $71.90 billion globally, a decrease of 1.44% compared to the same period in the previous year. In terms of volume, US apparel imports fell by 3.23% (in SME), while the average unit price increased by 1.85%.
Imports from Bangladesh, however, rose to $7.60 billion, representing growth of 12.43% compared to January–November 2024, even though imports for the single month of November 2025 declined by 14.57% versus November 2024.
Key insights on apparel imports during this period include:
• Vietnam showed a growth of 11.35%s
• China experienced a significant negative -33.90% growth
• India’s imports rose by 6.04%
• Pakistan’s imports rose by 11.82%
• Indonesia’s imports rose by 9.79%
• Cambodia’s aw a significant increase of 26.18%
Comparing the number of pieces imported:
• Bangladesh witnessed huge surge of 13.30%
• Vietnam saw a 11.99% increase
• China had a big difference of negative -25.86%
• India experienced a notable 4.73% growth
• Cambodia saw a huge 35.40% increase
• Pakistan showed a 18.28% increase
• Indonesia’s showed a 13.39% increase
The unit price per piece varied across countries:
• Bangladesh: -0.77% decrease
• Vietnam: -0.57% decrease
• China: -10.84% decrease
• India: 1.25% increase
• Cambodia saw a -6.81% decrease
• Pakistan: -5.46% decline
• Indonesia: -3.18% decrease
