International Women’s Day (IWD) is a global holiday celebrated annually on March 8 to commemorate the cultural, political, and socioeconomic achievements of women. Each year for International Women’s Day, the United Nations selects a theme. This year is “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality”
Textile Focus: More than 80% of women are working for the Bangladesh textile & apparel industry but at the top/decision-making level the presence of women is still very less. How did you evaluate this how more women can come upon such top/decision-making positions in the T&A sector?

To me WOMEN means Wonderful, Obvious and Main attribute of Nature. And I do feel that there is no difference between Woman & Man as human beings. Yes, that differences we found thats are totally natural. We shouldn’t ever forget that we are loved and appreciated and in return we fulfill everyone’s days with happiness & love! We’re the symbol of love, affection as mother, sister, wife and professionals.
Being a professional as entrepreneur in Textile & Apparel sector of Bangladesh, I found that still at the top/decision making level the presence of women is less compare to men but its increasing day by day as our mindset is changing and we’re educating us everyday as to treat our women as human being and creating rooms for them.
Very soon the scenario will be changed that women’s participation will be more at decision making level in the textile & apparel sector in Bangladesh. All the best to all human being.
