Special Correspondent: Bangladesh-based one of the largest apparel manufacturer and exporter Windy Group celebrated its Silver Jubilee on 1st May at Hotel Le Merdian in the capital. To mark the day, Windy Group organized a program featuring a discussion, award giving ceremony and a cultural event. More than 500 employees, buyers and suppliers were present at the 25-year celebration ceremony.
The anniversary celebration was a testament to Windy Group journey of innovation, excellence, and enduring success over the past quarter-century.
BGMEA President, SM Mannan Kochi, BGMEA member Dewan Zahid Ahmed Tulu MP, Abdullah Hil Rakib, VP of BGMEA, was as the special guest.
Md. Mezbah Uddin Khan, Managing Director of Windy Group and Director of BGMEA, expressed in his welcoming address, Windy commitment to sustainability, value enhancement, productivity, and quality threads for the RMG industry has significantly contributed to uplift Bangladesh’s RMG sectors.” He also extended gratitude to the global Buyers, local partner, customers, other stakeholders and the Windy team for their contributions.

Now we are focusing on green energy for saving our resources. He announced plans for a new factory in Gazipur. Heading for massive production unit all under one roof with additional output capacity of 150,000 pieces of sustainable products per day, 4.5 million pieces per month and 54 million pieces in a year,he added.
During the event, Windy Group honored employees who have dedicated a decade of service to the company, celebrating their pivotal roles in driving innovation and achieving notable business outcomes. Windy also honoured the top buyers for their valuable support. Ms.Farina Khan, Deputy Managing Director of Windy Group handed over the Silver Jublee award.
