The vibrant ambiance of Jhawban Dhaka Cafe & Restaurant in Uttara witnessed a heartwarming gathering as the Wuhan Textile University Alumni Association of Bangladesh (WTUAAB) hosted an elegant IFTAR Mahfil on 28th March 2024. This event, attended by approximately 40 alumni, marked a delightful reunion of individuals who have found success in various leading companies across the globe.
Among the distinguished attendees were alumni hailing from a spectrum of renowned Universities from Bangladesh.
The gathering was graced by the presence of accomplished Wuhan Textile University (WTU) alumni, such as Mr. Md. Ruhul Amin, serving as the Country Manager at Zhejiang Runhe Chemical New Materials Co. Ltd; Mr. Meer Md. Rasel Khan, who holds the position of Country Manager for Bangladesh at Dymatic Chemicals Inc; and Mr. Amit Sarker, currently serving as the Technical Manager at Transfar Chemical Bangladesh Co., Ltd., Mr. Manoj Kanti Datta, Managing Director of Tex World (BD) Corporation; Mr. Md Miskatul Alam, Manager at Wuhan Well Sailing Industry and Trade Co. Established in 2018, the Wuhan Textile Alumni Association has been actively fostering connections among its members and orchestrating events aimed at engaging the textile community. With a vision to create impactful initiatives, the association aspires to organize larger events in the future.
WTU, a prestigious public higher education institution in China, has been dedicated to nurturing textile specialists and catering to the needs of the textile industry. Since 2013, Bangladeshi students have been pursuing their Master’s studies at WTU, with the current count of Bangladeshi students enrolled in Masters programs exceeding 160.
The IFTAR Mahfil served as a testament to the strong bonds forged among the alumni of WTU and underscored their collective commitment to excellence in the global textile arena.
