Announcing one of its most significant investments to date, Youngone Corporation has ended the year by breaking ground on the ‘Youngone KEPZ Medical Complex’ in cooperation with Yonsei University of Korea. The 90-acre site will incorporate a 500-bed hospital in the first phase, followed by a nursing college, a medical college and other integrated facilities.

Youngone Chairman and CEO, Kihak Sung, said the project is the realization of a life-long dream. “Our primary goal is to ensure high-quality healthcare facilities for our workers and their family members. The hospital facilities will eventually be extended to the people in the vicinity of KEPZ and beyond by contributing to the overall high quality of healthcare in the region to benefit the people of Bangladesh.”
The Honorable Mayor of Chattogram City Corporation, Mr. Md Rezaul Karim Chowdhury, attended the event as the Chief guest. His Excellency, Mr. Park Young-sik, Ambassador, Republic of Korea to Bangladesh, Dr. DongSup Yoon, President & CEO, Yonsei University Health System (YUHS), and Prof Dr. Md Ismail Khan, Vice Chancellor, Chittagong Medical University attended as special guests.
