Recognized for 70% female workforce, 60% female managers; diversity fuels success
Youngone Corporation has received an award from the World Council of Directors (WCD), an organization comprising over 3,000 global female board directors. It is the first Korean company to do so.

Youngone Corporation announced on the 13th that it was selected in the ‘Emerging Leadership’ category at the ‘2025 WCD Visionary Awards’ held at the Drake Hotel in Chicago, U.S. on the 6th (local time). The company explained, “We have been recognized for our achievements in practicing diversity and inclusion within the company on the global stage.”
WCD is a non-profit organization celebrating its 25th anniversary. It has approximately 3,700 female board directors active worldwide. Every year, WCD holds the Visionary Awards to honor companies and leaders in categories such as leadership, innovation, diversity, inclusion, and sustainability.
Youngone Corporation received positive evaluations for the growth and leadership enhancement of its female workforce. Based on its domestic headquarters, the proportion of female employees at Youngone Corporation reaches approximately 70%. The ratio of female managers (department head level and above) is approximately 60%. A source from Youngone Corporation explained, “This significantly exceeds the industry average,” adding, “The average tenure of female employees is about 1 year and 6 months longer than that of male employees.”
Chairman Sung Ki-hak, who founded Youngone Corporation in 1974, attended the WCD Visionary Awards ceremony and stepped onto the stage as an awardee. Chairman Sung stated, “Providing equal opportunities to women has ultimately led to greater achievements for the company,” and added, “I hope that a society where women are respected equally with men will be realized in the future.”
