Desk Report: BGMEA welcomed the Leaders of Tomorrow in a meeting invitation. Many delegates from BGMEA were present at the meeting including Faruque Hassan, President, BGMEA, Md. Shahidullah Azim, Vice President, BGMEA and other Board Members and Chairs. Abrar Hossain Sayem, President, BAYLA responded to the invite from BGMEA along with his Board of Directors and Members.
The President of BGMEA discussed the new logo and its representation of a renewed vision, the upcoming Made in Bangladesh Week in November, BGMEA’s collaboration with Dhaka Art Summit, its’ Innovation Centre and collaborations with Dhaka Art Summit.
The “Made in Bangladesh Week” is going to be organized by Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BGMEA) in partnership with Bangladesh Apparel Exchange (BAE). The week-long initiative will present physical events comprising summits, expositions, exhibitions, awards, factory tours, cultural shows and networking dinner from 12th to 18th November this year.
Abrar Hossain Sayem quoted “Bangladesh youth leaders are optimistic and active about the innovation perspective”. He expressed great interest in working with BGMEA in the upcoming Made in Bangladesh Week, playing an active role throughout focusing on future scope of partnerships. Scope of Collaboration was also discussed on working together at the Innovation Centre to strengthen its’ capability.
BAYLA is aiming to increase the market potential of the garment industry through the development and diversification of the garment industry, by targeted research, capacity building through training, increasing productivity and creating new opportunities
The main objective of Bayla is to coordinate and unite all the leading organizations in the garment industry. With interest and diligent efforts, this non-political organization is a combination of the enthusiasm of the youth and the experience of the elders.
