BUFT signed Industry-academia agreements to create competent graduates suitable for industrial establishments

Desk Report: Industry-academia agreements signed between BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT) and several industrial organizations.

With the aim of providing contemporary education to students and creating competent graduates suitable for industrial establishments, BUFT and several industrial groups and organizations signed industry-academia partnership agreements. The agreement signing ceremony was held on September 25 at the university premises in Nishatnagar, Turag, Dhaka. Industry partners included DBL Group, Evince Group, Entrust Group, Textown Group, Ixora Apparels, and BICM. All parties are hopeful that the signed agreements will play a major role in education and research and will especially help students in the future to develop into qualified and well-rounded graduates.

The agreements were signed by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University, Mr. Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin, MP, and the Chief Executive Officers and Representatives of the organizations. Other members of the Board of Trustees, including Mr. Mohammed Nasir and Mr. Abdullah Hil Rakib, were also present at the ceremony. BUFT Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. S. M. Mahfuzur Rahman, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Eng. Ayub Nabi Khan, Treasurer Dr. Abdul Jalil, Deans, and Officers attended the program.
