BYDC hosts National Textile Olympiad

National Textile Olympiad organized by BUTEX Youth Development Club was held on July 29 at the BUTEX C conferences hall with the combined participation of 700 students from around 33 campuses.

Prof. Dr. Shah Alimuzzaman Belal, Vice Chancellor of BUTEX was present as a Chief Guest. Engr. Shafiqur Rahman, President of ITET, Engr. Md. Moniruzzaman Badsha, MD of FIAT Fashion Ltd, Engr. Syed Mohammad Ismail, Country Head, Archroma was present as a guest of honor. Engr. MD. Shariful Islam (Sharif), Managing Director, Auxicolor Bangladesh Ltd. Engr. Touhidul Islam Kakon, Joint Secretary of ITET, Engr. Abdullah Al Mahmud, DGM, Dysin Group, Dr. MD. Emdad Sarkar, Moderator, BYDC, Md. Toriqul Islam Tipu, Md. Abdullah Joy, President, and Secretary of Bangladesh Student League, BUTEX was present. This event was presided by Abir Mohammad Sadi, President of the BUTEX Youth Development Club.

National Textile Olympiad is a subject of interest to students pursuing textile engineering. Organizing such competitions to prepare yourself from scratch for the future workplace and to adapt to the ever-changing world.

At the event, Students have shown their outstanding talent in every category. Shahadatul Islam Sajid of BUTEX won the mobile photography category and Shariful Islam Rishad of Noakhali Textile Engineering College won the camera photography category. Ashraful Islam of BUTEX won the digital art category and Imtehan Emon of Pabna Textile Engineering College won the drawing category. The winner of the video presentation category was Gov. College of Applied Human Sciences Tranthi Saha. Abid Hasan of BUTEX won the textile quiz competition and Md. Mahmudul Hasan of BUTEX won the B category. Ahsanuzzaman Roni of BUTEX won the Article Writing category.
