Career Seminar at SARSTEC

“Career Seminar-2019”   titled as “Career Development in Textile Industry” has been arranged by SARSTEC Career Club on 5th December 2019 at SARSTEC auditorium, media partnered by Textile Focus and radio partnered by SARSTEC Radio 00.08 fm.

Renowned technical & motivational speaker Engr.  Mamun Ur Rashid (Executive Director, Texco Tech) delivered his speech as the Key Note Speaker of the seminar and conducted the session. Editor & Publisher of Textile Focus magazine Mr. M A Islam Riyadh was the special guest and the seminar was presided by Principal of SARSTEC Engr. Md. Mozibur Rahman. Besides, Moderator of SARSTEC Career Club, Lecturer Engr. Md. Zahid Murad Shuva, other teachers of SARSTEC campus, President of SKTEC Career Club Eden Mojumder, General Secretary of SKTEC Career Club Antora Saha were also present.

The program started at 10 am with recitation from Holy Quran and continued till 1 pm where the key note speaker and special guest represented various career related information and upcoming opportunities for a textile engineer with splendid presentations. Motivating the students about life and career, M A Islam Riyadh said, “Besides being successful in career, being a good human being is also important.” In his speech he emphasized on importance of having a mentor to reach the goal of life.  He also announced “Complimentary Textile Focus” issues for the campus library, boys’ hall and girls’ hall.

Narrating about the present condition of Textile Industry of Bangladesh, key note speaker Engr. Mamun Ur Rashid explained different career paths before the students. He strongly mentioned, “Choose that career where you feel comfort and confidence.” He also added that “Dedication & hard work has no alternative for the way of success.” Engr. Mamun has a long experience working in textile industry and engaging development of this industry by inspiring textile engineers in different segments. Engr. Mamun advised the students about their careers goal and how to achieve. The Question & Answer session was more interactive as the student asked their career related questions to the keynote speaker. Students expressed their happiness for such delighted knowledge session and thanks Engr. Mamun for coming their campus.

Later, forecaster of the seminar Engr. Md. Mozibur Rahman said, “Now a days students are conscious about their career right from the beginning of their graduation life. It gives us pleasure that our students are arranging such career seminar to make them more updated for upcoming career life.”

After that, the principal & the guests distributed Special Prize (Year Long Complimentary issues of Textile Focus magazine) on behalf of Textile Focus, among the  winners of “CV Writing Competition”  arranged by SARSTEC Career Club, few weeks ago.  Later Principal Engr. Md.  Mozibur Rahman handed over crest to President of SKTEC Career Club Eden Mojumder, General Secretary of SKTEC Career Club Antora Saha, Special guest M A Islam Riyadh and Key Note Speaker Engr. Mamun Ur Rashid. Then the President and the General Secretary of SARSTEC Career Club handed over the crest to Principal Engr. Md.  Mozibur Rahman.

This career seminar was supervised by principal of SARSTEC Engr. Md. Mozibur Rahman, Chief Advisor of SCC & Assistant Prof. of SARSTEC  Engr. Nayon Chandra Ghosh, Moderator of SCC & Lecturer of SARSTEC  Engr. Md.  Zahid Murad Shuva.  According to students, this career seminar was a time effective program for the students. They hope that such programs will be arranged more often by SARSTEC Career Club in co-operation with renowned international magazine Textile Focus.
