First-Ever branding event Made in Bangladesh Week Sustainable Developments of Bangladesh RMG Industry

Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) aims to brighten the country’s image and increase its apparel exports by hosting the first “Made in Bangladesh Week” from November 12, the First-ever branding event dedicated to showcasing the newest, most innovative and sustainable developments achieved by the ready-made garment industry from this country.

The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) will organise it in partnership with the Bangladesh Apparel Exchange (BAE), opening the platform for delegates, brands and retailers, stakeholders, policymakers, and trade bodies to initiate collaborations and discuss prospects and roadmap for the future.

Honorable Prime Minister of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, will inaugurate the “Made in Bangladesh Week” on 13th November 2022.

This special week will host a program of 17 physical events comprising summits, expositions, photo exhibitions, conferences, a fashion innovation runway show, a sustainable design and innovation award, a fashion photography award, factory tours, international cultural shows and more initiatives.

In this challenging time for the country and its garment  BGMEA President Faruque Hassan is working for industry development and the Made in Bangladesh week program. Under his leadership, this program will be a milestone for positive branding in our industry. BGMEA current board always supports his suitable activities which always helps to our industry development. 

Under the leadership of BGMEA President, Faruque Hassan, Here, BGMEA unveils a new logo where the color gold is associated with illumination, love, compassion, courage, and passion. It also signifies the legacy of BGMEA. Moreover, the color blue represents depth, trust, wisdom, innovation, and intelligence and exemplifies BGMEA’s transformation goal.

Besides, indigo symbolises integrity and intuition as its the color of pride and dignity. However, it also expresses the feeling of balance and structure; and signifies the board impact of BGMEA.

The event will be instrumental in telling compelling stories of the local garment sector, especially its strides in areas of workplace safety, environmental sustainability and workers’ well-being.

The industry’s moves in enhancing competitiveness through innovation, diversification, upgrading technology, and up-skilling will be also highlighted.

Bangladesh RMG industry contributes a large portion of income and recognition to Bangladesh, this initiative aims to amplify business opportunities and reinforce this highly specialised industry as a competitive and value-adding sector working towards sustainable industrialization. Made in Bangladesh Week will be a milestone event for Bangladesh apparel industry.

The main features of the “Made in Bangladesh” week are – Dhaka Apparel Summit, Dhaka Apparel Exhibition and Bangladesh Denim Expo. Besides, there will be a competition-based Sustainable Leadership Award, Sustainable Fashion and Innovation Award, Made in Bangladesh Week Photography Award, NRB Award. Moreover, there will be a fashion show, cultural events, global launching of BGMEA innovation centre and day-long special workshop at BUFT.

Made in Bangladesh is a very significant event for Bangladesh RMG sector. So all the stockholders need to support & Work together to make this glorious event successful.
