FIRST TIME EVER INTERNATONAL TECHNICAL SEMINAR & TOWNHALL DISCUSSION HELD IN DHAKA

A joint mega event organized by MB Trade Corporation, Bangladesh in association with  Refond Equipment Co. Ltd.  and Guangzhou Hongjing LAB Equipment Ltd.

The two days long “International Technical Seminar and Town Hall Discussion” on “Textile Testing & Processing Equipment for Quality Improvement”, held in Bangladesh on 18-19th December 2019,  at Hotel Sector 7, Grand Ball Room, Uttara, Dhaka.

Distinguished professional having decade of experience in “Textile Testing” from country  and abroad present their expertise lecture to our guest .  Around 300 eminent guest from factory in & around Bangladesh, and 320 Faculty members & students of public / private universities participated in this mega technical event.

The first day seminar was adorned by Chairperson Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, (Vice Chancellor (Acting) of BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology) . Chief Guest ( Prof. Asish Kumar Samanta from IJT, University of Calcutta ) , special guest Mr. LYU Zhiming from CNTAC, Mr. Pauking Wu, (CEO, Mr. Rihan Wu, Chief Engineer, Refond Equipment Co., Ltd,) , Engr. Atul Devnath, CEO, M.B. Trade Corporation , were also present at the mega event. Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan expressed his pleasure and appreciated MB Trade Corporation for organizing such a mega event for the development of Bangladesh Textile Industry.

The second day of the event was for the academicians, teachers, students & researchers. Industry Leaders, Textile Engineers, Technical persons and stakeholders were also present at the first day technical seminar. Refond Equipment Co., Ltd. and Guangzhou Hongjing LAB Equipment Ltd., showcased their latest innovation and products for the industry professionals. Distinguished guest from different testing laboratories, buying house, factories shared their practical experience on different issues of textile testing and equipment.

Second day seminar was inaugurated by Professor ( Md. Abul Kashem, Vice Chancellor, Bangladesh), University of Textiles. He mentioned that we are passing a challenging time of textile industry, only value addition and innovative process can develop our industry. He advised the student to be connected with latest happenings and technology around the world to become successful textile engineer. The full day event was designed with different technical sessions on different issues.

·         Professor Asish Kumar Samanta, Dept. of Jute and Fibre Technology, IJT, University of Calcutta presented a key note on “In Sustainable Dyeing-Textiles with natural dyes and Sustainable textile processing”.

·         Dr. Md. Mahbubul Haque, Prof & Head, Dept. of Textile Engineering, Daffodil International University presented a presentation on “Prospect of Technical Textile in Bangladesh”.

·         Dr. Md. Rubaiyat Chowdhury, Professor & Chairman, Department of Textile Engineering Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) presented a session on “Present Scenario of Textile Sector in Bangladesh”.

·         Dr. M. Mahbubul Bashar, Associate Professor, Department of Textile Engineering, Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University had a presentation on “Functional Cellulose Nanocrystals (CNC) from Jute Fiber for Sustainable Applications.”

·         Mr. Lin (China National Textile and Apparel Council), CNTAC, China discussed about “Introduction of GB Testing Standards”

Ms. Pubalina Samanta, Lecturer, In Bachelor of Fashion Design Course at Rani Birla Girls College, Kolkata spoke about “Trends in fashion and garment finishing”.

Dynamic professionals from different international testing organization like ( Intertek, TUV SUD Bangladesh, Bureau Veritas ), etc. discussed and gave presentation about what is textile testing in textile perspective, why it is necessary, what is the method, what is the result and future prospect of testing.image017
