Ex- Students Association of Tangail Textile Institute (ESATTI) organized Grand Reunion on the campus premises on December 16, 2016. The event brought together a lot of former students of the institute. Many of them are now established in their respectable fields. ESATTI was formed in 2008 by the active participation of Ex-students where Engr. Md. Arifur Rahaman Siddique is the founding president.
The day-long event started with Reunion Polo-Shirt distribution, devoured with scoops of nostalgia by hundreds of students as they relived shared history. “This institution is just like home to us. I spent 3 years here.” said Mr. Nazmul, a student of the 1996 passing year batch. Many other former students also spoke at the event. Washing Specialist Mr. Shohag Mredha, who passed in 2008, told, “I spent time here in great joy. It feels very nice to join this event.”
Founding President Engr. Md. Arifur Rahman Siddique, joined his friends in reminiscing the past amid his hectic event-management activities. “This year’s event is really unique. While 150 to 200 people attended the past events, this time around 300 people attended it,” he said.
“It’s an amazing experience. I caught up with many old friends. I am really very happy to see my loving campus.” said Central Executive Committee President Aminul Islam.
“We wait the whole time for this event. After spending the in fun, we’ll return to work and again start waiting for the next reunion,” Said Chairman of Past President Forum Mr. Ripon.
Principal of Textile Institute Tangail Engr. Anamul Haque was chief guest while CEO of Eco Colour Chem Sk. Masud Rana was special guest and General Manager of Permess South Esat Asia Ltd Mr. Golam Kibria Ripon was inaugurator of the event. Engr. Anamul Haque, in his remarks, noted that “Our students are skilled, qualified and doing well in job sector.” Addressing the current students of the institution he urged them to be “good human” apart from being good students. ESATTI General Secretary (2014-2016) RH Ratul presented the secretary report at his speech.
The new ESATTI Executive committee President for 2016-2018 was announced in the evening and Mr. Moyazzaem Sarker was selected as President. The event drew to a close with a stage show in the evening.
