Textile Focus: What is your observation regarding Bangladesh Textile market?

Punit Makharia: Since last 03 years we were manufacturing Reactive Dyes for Multi National who were selling Reactive Dyes in their name.  After launching our new brand DYECOL reactive dyes in Bangladesh we came to know it is a huge potential market for Reactive Dyes. All the big retailers and brands source garments from Bangladesh only. The market for Reactive Dyes will be around 2500 tons per month. There are lot of suppliers from China, India, Korea, Taiwan and Turkey.

Textile Focus: What is the response in this session?

Punit Makharia: This exhibition was the right place for launching our new brand DYECOL. We receive good response in this exhibition. Industry people, Technicians and business partners all came to our stall and had a one to one discussion with our team headed by Dr N.N. Mahapatra  ,Business Head ( Dyes ) , Mr Dilip Shah, G.M and Mr. Bala Subramanium , South Head. All were impressed as we are a completely backward and forward integrated company.

Textile Focus: How do you see Bangladesh textile market in coming days?

Punit Makharia: I think Bangladesh textile market should no more depend on China for reactive Dyes because China dyes manufacturing units are facing a lot of environmental issues. In coming years they will be cutting down the production or closing down. It is the right time for Bangladesh Textile market to choose a company like Shree Pushkar Chemicals & Fertilisers Ltd. which has got both raw materials and reactive dyes manufacturing along with the spent acid is used in making fertilisers so we call ourselves as a ZERO WASTE manufacturing unit.

Textile Focus: Do you have any specific plan for Bangladesh market for upcoming days from your company?

Punit Makharia: We have launched our Reactive Dyes brand DYECOL for Bangladesh market. We will be selecting our Business Partners to promote our brand in Bangladesh. We have DYECOL CELF range (for high light fastness), DYECOL CEFT & RR range for medium shades (critical ones), DYECOL DR Range (for Dark/Ex Dark shades and are dischargeable). DYECOL SS range (for Dark/Heavy Dark Shades). All are suitable for Yarn Dyeing, Knit Dyeing and Woven Dyeing. We are a bluesign system partner, GOTS certified and ZDHC contributor.

Textile Focus: Any special message you want to convey to the industry?

Punit Makharia: My sincere message to the Industry is hard work and sincere approach. Take care of the environment, Safety and Quality. You should have an innovative approach in dealing with any sort of objectives.
