MT Sweaters Limited, one of the largest apparel manufacturing companies, has been honored with the prestigious Green Button Special Award by GIZ.

“This is a significant accomplishment for the sustainability sector, particularly for future growth,” stated Mizanur Rahman, Managing Director of MT Sweaters Ltd. “We are committed to ensuring sustainability in all our manufacturing processes,” Mizanur continued.

In addition to this remarkable achievement, MT Sweaters recently received a LEED Platinum certification with a score of 82 from the United States Green Building Council (USGBC).

The USGBC awards this certification based on several rigorous criteria, including performance in areas such as transformation, energy efficiency, water conservation, and waste management. Factories that excel in these areas are recognized with a Platinum rating, the highest honor, followed by Gold and Silver ratings for those who meet slightly less stringent standards.
