Prof. Ayub Nabi Khan receives award from IEOM Society International

In a momentous occasion at the 6th Industrial Engineering and Operations Management Bangladesh Conference (IEOM), Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Pro Vice Chancellor of BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT), was bestowed with the prestigious Outstanding Curriculum Development Award. The conference, organized by the renowned IEOM Society International, convened on December 27 and 28, 2023, at KIB in Dhaka.

Professor Khan, a distinguished textile engineer turned educationist, boasts a remarkable career spanning 35 years, during which he has made significant contributions to teaching, educational planning, management, and industrial consultancy. His expertise extends to project management, research, and development in processes, products, and technology.

Having earned his MSc and PhD degrees in Textile Technology from the University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology UMIST, Manchester, UK, under the Commonwealth Scholarship and fellowship plan, Professor Khan holds the distinction of being the first Bangladeshi to receive the International Holden Medal award for Education.

The IEOM Conference served as a dynamic platform for academics, researchers, and practitioners to engage in a rich exchange of ideas and delve into recent developments in the realm of Industrial Engineering and Operations Management. The event, spanning two days, played a crucial role in propelling Bangladesh’s journey towards operational excellence through knowledge exchange, thought leadership, and industry insights.
