Prof. Dr. Engr. Md. Humaun Kabir has been appointed as the Acting Vice-Chancellor of Prime University, marking a new chapter in the university’s academic leadership. Mr. Humaun Kabir’s academic journey is marked by excellence, having earned his B.Sc. from Dhaka University with a first-class second position in the merit list. His pursuit of knowledge led him to Technical University, Dresden, Germany, where he obtained his M.Sc. in 2001 and later earned his Doctorate in 2005 from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the same university.
With over 29 years of diverse experience in teaching, administration, government sectors, and various industries both in Bangladesh and abroad, Prof. Dr. Engr. Md. Humaun Kabir brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role. His distinguished career includes serving as the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Primeasia University & Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Northern University Bangladesh.
Notably, he has also contributed significantly to the textile sector, serving as a Textile Sector Specialist at Duty Exemption and Drawback Office (DEDO), NBR, under the Finance Ministry. His academic achievements extend to his role as an adjunct faculty member at the Textile Engineering Department of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology and as an Assistant Professor at Technical University, Dresden, Germany.
Prof. Dr. Engr. Md. Humaun Kabir has a strong publication record, with 21 journals and conference proceedings, showcasing his commitment to advancing knowledge in his field. As the Editor in Chief of Denim Focus Magazine, he continues to play a crucial role in disseminating valuable insights within the industry.
A Life Member of ITET (Institute of Textile Engineers and Technologies, Bangladesh) and a Life Fellow Member of IEB (Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh), Prof. Dr. Engr. Md.
