Urmi Group Wins Bangladesh Innovation Award 2023

Fakhruddin Textile Mills Ltd of Urmi Group achieved both the winning and runner-up trophies of the Bangladesh Innovation Award 2023. It became the ‘Winner’ for the innovation ‘ERP Integrated RFID Solution’ in the apparel and fashion category of the award, while it also achieved the ‘Honorable Mention’ in the same category for its ‘Seamless Technology’.

Directors of Urmi Group Shamarukh Fakhruddin and Faiaz Rahman received the awards in the ceremony organized by Bangladesh Brand Forum yesterday evening where Honorable State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP, was the Chief Guest.

Urmi Group is a Bangladesh-based conglomerate that has been in operation since 1984. It is a family-owned business that has expanded over the years to encompass a diverse range of industries, including textile manufacturing, apparel production, real estate, energy, and more.

Urmi Group’s textile division specializes in manufacturing a range of products, including denim, knits, woven fabrics, and home textiles. The group’s apparel division produces a variety of garments for leading international brands, including H&M, Zara, and Primark.

Urmi Group has received several awards for its contributions to the Bangladeshi economy and its commitment to social responsibility. The group has implemented various initiatives to improve the lives of its employees, including providing education and healthcare services, offering training and skill development programs, and creating a safe and inclusive workplace.
