Butex delegation in Germany

Under the HELD-BUTEX project, a delegation of 7 members of Butex is staying in Germany to sign an MoU with Hoff University of Applied Sciences, visit Adidas campus and BASF factory and participate in TechTextil Fair. University Vice-Chancellor Dr. The dean of the faculty of textile engineering is in the delegation of seven members led by Shah Alimuzzaman. Hosne Ara Begum, Dean of the Faculty of Textile Chemical Engineering. Ummul Khair Fatema, Head of Department of Wet Process Engineering Professor Dr. Md. Julhas Uddin, professor of the same department. Sharfun Nahar Arju, Fabric Engineering Department Professor Shilpi Akhtar and Dyes and Chemical Engineering Department Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammad Abbas Uddin.

A MOU has been signed between Hof University of Applied Sciences in presence of Ministry of Education, Bangladesh, UGC and German Ministry BMZ. BUTEX Vice Chancellor Prof Shah Alimuzzaman Belal has signed on behalf of BUTEX and Prof Dr.-Eng. Valentin Plenk, Vice President, on behalf of Hof University. The private industry representative from KiK brand was present and announced two scholarships for MSc in Sustainable Textiles due to be started at BUTEX.

BMZ, Ministry of Education and UGC lauded this cooperation and collaboration and expected that this engagement will bring more student and faculty exchange, research and future opportunities.

Later everyone visited both campus at Hof and textile campus at Münchberg. And, also exchanged gifts from BUTEX to Hof, GIZ & HELD.

A new milestone for our department of textile engineering. Good wishes. We should take more such initiatives in the coming days in all public and private textile engineering universities. Salauddin, Bunon.
