The election of the Bangladesh Garments Buying House Association (BGBA) for the term 2024-2026 will be held on 2nd March 2024. ‘Progressive Alliance’ one of the promising panels that are going to attend the contest of the BGBA election started their election campaign and met up with members.
Regarding introducing the panel members and part of the campaign Progressive Alliance’ arranged a meet-up event at Uttara Club, Dhaka on 10 February 2024 followed by dinner and a music show. More than 300+ BGBA members from different zones were present in the event.
At the event, the leaders exchanged views on the present situation of the garment industry and Buying Business. And expressed their commitment to working with the existing problems of buying a business and getting a logical solution. The leaders of the Panel promised to work together in an organized way to move forward for a sustainable apparel business.
BGBA founder president Qayum Reza Chowdhury was present at the event and said.’ The upcoming BGBA election will be a new milestone to uphold the organization in a new dimension. I believe the panel ‘Progressive Alliance’ is a bunch of young leaders who are capable to serve and work for present and future challenges of Buying Business. My ardent request to all BGBA members is to elect the panel and allow them to work for the organization. ‘

BGBA is one of the top trading houses for buying houses in the readymade garments (RMG) sector of Bangladesh. BGBA was approved by the Director of Trade Organizations (DTO) of the Ministry of Commerce, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. The association is a vibrant member of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI).
Bangladesh Garments Buying House Association acts as a protection for all buying houses in the country. The association wants to fulfil the hopes and aspirations of its members. At present, the general membership of BGBA is 1500+. It is the desperate and earnest effort of some enterprising members to further strengthen and strengthen the bonds between the members of the BGBA.
