Female candidates vying for a post in the trade body’s leadership

Women have made significant contributions to the socio-economic transformation of Bangladesh that took place over the last 50 years since independence in 1971.

“Bangladesh has emerged as a role model of development in the world under the prudent and visionary leadership of the Honorable Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina. Bangladesh has qualified to graduate into a developing nation from a Least Developed Country (LDC). All people of Bangladesh – both men and women.

The upcoming BGMEA election charted for March 9 and BGBA Election on March 2 is going to see a few highly educated and trained new generation female candidates vying for a post in the trade body’s leadership team.

Women entrepreneurs intend to further build the image of the country’s apparel industry with the brand name ‘Made in Bangladesh’ all over the global market.

As a candidate, they give the outlook of different breeds with rare ideas and visions about the Bangladesh garment industry.
