Freshers’ reception (Spring 2023) Organized By the Faculty of Science and Engineering, City University held at the University Auditorium on 11th March-2023 at 11 AM followed by a Cultural Gala event. Mr. Anisul Hoque, Managing Editor, The Daily Prothom Alo was present as Guest of Honor, Md. Majibar Rahman Mia, Treasurer (Acting), City University and Md. Rezwanur Rahman, Director, Dysin Group attended the program as Special guest of Prof. Dr. Engr. Md. Humaun Kabir, Dean, Faculty of Science and Engineering was the Chair of the session. Deans of different faculties and Heads of various departments as well as other significant individuals were also present at the event. The Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Prof. Dr. Md. Shawkut Ali Khan welcomed the new students into the fascinating world of engineering at the formal session. The Chair of the program emphasized vastly on the real-life horizon of engineering branches and encouraged all the fresh comers for making a difference and to be successful in goal-driven careers in respect. The guest of honor, Mr. Anisul Hoque, Managing Editor, Prothom Alo, addressed the gathering and shared his experience from his renowned book “Ma”. He encouraged the new students to make themselves good engineers as well as good human beings which will make our country proud.
Honorable Vice Chairman, Board of Trustees, City University, Mr. Mujibul Islam (Panna) supposed to be the Chief guest, but due to some unavoidable circumstances he wasn’t there but sent his hearty greetings to the newly admitted students.
