In order to enhance the research infrastructure and foster academic collaborations between the National Institute of Textile Engineering and Research (NITER) and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), NITER entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on February 18, 2024, with a three-year duration. The MoU signing ceremony, which marks the institute’s inaugural international collaboration, is conducted virtually in NITER meeting room that has been arranged by the Center for Research and Industrial Relations (CRIR), in which the UKM representative from their esteemed organization participated in the program.
The signing of the memorandum of understanding for a period of three years will serve to enhance, advance, and foster global academic and research collaboration among the involved parties. This will not only result in the improvement of academic facilities but also facilitate greater international cooperation among research endeavors. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Junaebur Rashid, director of NITER, and Dr. Md. Abul Kalam, convener of CRIR, have signed the MOU on NITER’s behalf whereas UKM Vice-chancellor Prof. Dato’s GS. TS. Dr. Mohd. Ekhwan HJ. Toriman and Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Adib Ibrahim, director of the Solar Energy Research Institute, both signed the MOU on behalf of UKM.
