SDC EC’s Colour event in India

The Society of Dyers and Colourists Education Charity, India (SDC EC) successfully organized its Color Event 10/ 2016 on September 2 at Rachana Sansad, Prabhadevi. The event included three technical lectures and an award ceremony. The technical lectures were followed by presentations by top nine entries for the International Design Competition 2016.

photo_largeThe Technical session started with Rachana Singh’s presentation on ‘Entrepreneurship’. She shared her experiences on the various stages of starting an Entreprunal company. The second lecture was on ‘How did I get here’ by Aniket Satam. He communicated very well with the students about his experiences and success story of being in the fashion industry. The Third lecture was on ‘Digital Printing’ by Ms. Lipika Nair. She shared the technical aspects of digital designing andits reproduction on fabrics. The do’s and don’ts of design & expectations from a designer perspective was shared with the audience.

sdc-seminarAfter the technical session, all top 9 entries were invited on the stage to talk on their boards and the thought behind it. The theme for this year’s design competition was ‘Make it personal’. All top nine entries were unique with different products and usages. The event was jointly organized by Mumbai Chapter, SDC EC and Rachana Sansad, Prabhadevi. The Seminar featured three distinguished speakers who talked about Start up Entrepreneurship and Digital Printing.
