Textile Engineers Alumni Association of City University (TEAACU) has organized a colourful Iftaar at the Ashulia campus on the occasion of Holy Ramadan.
The organization’s advisor and founder president Engineer Ahmed Sorowar announced the new committee for the next two years. Engineer Zahurul Islam Rosen, secretary Md Liman Khan and organizing secretary Rafiqul Islam Ratan have been given the responsibility of the committee.
He called upon everyone to work together shoulder to shoulder for the development of the textile industry. He also said that it is the need of the hour to increase the qualifications of local professionals to reduce the influence of foreign officials in our country. This will create employment for us on the one hand and on the other hand, will reduce the pressure on the country’s dollar.

The program aims to develop alumni relationships and introduce the branding of their institutions. All current and former City University students are encouraged to stay close and feel committed to continuing such activities in the future. Which will serve as a powerful platform to further expand their scope of work.
At the end of the ceremony, everyone prayed to Almighty Allah.
More than five hundred textile engineers participated in the event.
The newly appointed Vice Chancellor of the University, Brigadier General Professor Dr. Md. Lutfar Rahman (Retd.) thanked everyone and called upon them to face the challenges of the new era.
Engineer Md. Arif Zaman was in overall supervision of the implementation of the entire Iftar program.
