Bando Design Champion of 7th BGMEA Cup 2022

Desk Report: Bando Design Limited clinched the title of the 7th edition BGMEA Cup football tournament 2022 beating Snowtex Outerwear by 2-1 goals in the final match at Bangladesh Army Stadium on 11 November.

BGMEA President Mr. Faruque Hassan handed over the champion and runner-up trophies. BGMEA Vice President Shahidullah Azim, Abdus Salam Murshedy MP, former president of BGMEA; BGMEA Directors, garment entrepreneurs, players, RMG workers and representatives of sponsors were also present at the program.

BGMEA has been organizing the football tournament since 2016. This year, 16 teams divided into four groups took part in the event held at Uttara Kalyan Somitti playground in Uttara of the capital.

16 renowned garment companies in Bangladesh participated in the tournament. They are Fakir Fashion Ltd., AKH Group, Urmi Group, Sayem Group, Babylon Group, Fariha Group, Epyllion Group, Snowtex Outerwear, Amazing Fashions Apparels, Village Kims Corporation, Evince Group, Torque Fashions Ltd., Team Group, Laila Group and Bando Design Ltd.

The tournament was powered by “Turag Active” while Platinum Sponsors were – SHELTECH, BUFT, FARIHA GROUP. Gold Sponsors – CLUB11, TWELVE CLOTHING, SARA LIFESTYLE LTD, PORCELANOSA BANGLADESH, SPARROW, NIPA GROUP, ANTRIX SOLUTIONS LIMITED, and Broadcast Partner – T-SPORTS etc.

Md. Imranur Rahman, a Director of BGMEA and Managing Director of Bando Design Ltd, is a passionate footballer and an organizer. They initiated the corporate football tournament in the garment industry ‘BGMEA Cup’ back in 2016.
