This ambitious goal is being pursued through a series of strategic initiatives, including the recent launch of a 2.2 MW solar energy project. This project alone is expected to cut down 1,784.6 metric tons of GHG emissions annually, marking a significant step towards a carbon-neutral future.

“To fulfill Envoy’s climate action commitment, we focus on reducing GHG emissions through improvements in energy efficiency, machinery, and resource utilization, as well as increased utilization of renewable energy sources, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) in our processes. By 2025, our target is to achieve a 40% reduction in GHG emissions whereas we have reached a 25% reduction in 2023 which has been validated. Our ultimate goal is to achieve carbon neutrality, with a target of a 56% reduction by 2030.”

Water Reduction Strategy

Water scarcity is a pressing global issue, and Envoy Textiles is addressing it head-on with its comprehensive water reduction strategy. Compared to the base year 2022, the company achieved a 32% reduction in water usage by 2023, a figure that has been verified. For 2024, Envoy Textiles has set a target to reduce water usage by 43%, and by 2025, the target is set to reach a 50% reduction. Looking ahead, the company aims to implement Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) by 2030, ultimately becoming a zero-groundwater-use company.
